The Estate
Crown Vineyards is a small, owner-farmed estate on the warm, oak-studded bench of the Los Alamos Valley. We planted with one idea in mind: grow the fruit ourselves, on our own ground, and let the wine answer to the place rather than the trend.
Long before this estate existed, we were deep in the world of wine — tasting, traveling, and working out exactly the kind of place we wanted to farm. That experience is in the ground here: in how the rows are pruned and trained, and in the patience to wait until the fruit is right.

Estate Rosé
ESTATE ROSÉ · LOS ALAMOS VALLEY
A dry, estate-grown rosé made entirely from our own fruit, with Cabernet Franc at its heart. We call it Lil’ Gem, dressed in the California poppies that wash across the valley each spring.

Viticulture
Every grape in the bottle came off our own rows. The Los Alamos Valley gives us long, warm days and a maritime evening chill off the Pacific — the swing that keeps a red-grape rosé both ripe and fresh.
A warm, breezy slope at the inland edge of Santa Barbara County's transverse valleys, where afternoon heat meets a cool ocean draw most evenings.
Owner-farmed, row by row. We prune, train, and pick ourselves, making the calls in the vineyard that decide the wine long before harvest.
Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon farmed and harvested with rosé as the goal — earlier picks, gentle handling, freshness held onto.
About Us
Before there was a vineyard, there were all the other vineyards — rows we kept wandering into on trips abroad and weekends closer to home, a habit of planning travel around where the wine was.
Kelly and Kyle Crown started Crown Vineyards — the winery carries our family name — to stop visiting everyone else's vines and finally grow our own. We found our hill in the Los Alamos Valley, planted it by hand, and and have farmed it with the patience good wine demands. We're small, hands-on, and family-run — and you're looking at the result.
Visit & Excursions
Wine tourism is part of what we do. We host unhurried tastings on the property, and we put together curated excursions through the Los Alamos Valley and the wider Santa Barbara wine country — itineraries shaped by people who actually farm here.
